LG Optimus Pad Set to Revolutionise the Tablet Industry by Jason Pertwee
TheOptimus is the tablet PC that is being launched by LG and it will be representing the start of the new era in the LG line-up. So far, the company has lacked in a good tablet PC and the Optimus will be the product that will be taking care of this deficiency within the LG ranks. The Optimus will be competing against the likes of the Apple iPad and others, that it seems to be well and truly represented by a number of features from LG, which would make the Optimus reside at the top of the spectrum.
The usage of the 7 inch touch screen display is looking to be the fashion nowadays in the tablet PC segment, but the Optimus will be going for the 8.9 inch display. The Optimus will be using this display in order to provide the best possible 3-D experience. Yes, the Optimus will be able to support 3-D content due to the technology that is used in the touch screen display. Even though the display might require 3-D glasses to be used for the 3-D effect to be possible, it is still a minor price to pay for such a great technology in a tablet PC. It has to be worth mentioned at this point that the 3-D technology is something that is currently found only in the extremely high end electronic goods like the LED television sets and so on. However, to be able to get the same technology in a device that is almost one third of the price is nothing except spectacular.
The Optimus will be coming with an internal memory of the 32 GB, which should go along well with the amount of features that are present in the tablet PC. These will include the likes of the 3-D playback capability and so on. So, you can use this memory to store everything ranging from the 3-D content to the normal songs. The Optimus can play each and every one of them due to the presence of a very capable multimedia player. TheG Optimus other important facet has to be the 3-D video recording option. This is very similar to the 3-D technology itself because it will be available only in the high-end camcorders of today. So, once again its appearance in the LG Optimus Pad that costs only a fraction of it is extremely exciting.
The Optimus dual five megapixel camera will be able to record the 2-D content as the last 3-D content. There is a small price to pay for recording the videos and the 3-D content though. It will be that the camera will not be able to record the 3-D images in the 1080 p mode. Only the 2-D videos will be done so in the 1080 p mode. The Optimus will be available for around £ 700 in the UK.
