Hoag attended Gustavus Adolphus ( All-MIAC first Team ) and spent some time with professional clubs: the NY Giants, MN Vikings, WA Redskins, Edmonton Eskimos and Jacksonville Jaguars before playing with the NY Sentinels of the United Football League in 2009.
